Lot 532 SCARCE REMINGTON PERCUSSION CANE GUN
BARREL 27.5" RIFLED. CALIBER 44 percussion. Bronze toned metal shaft. Partially readable address on metal tip, horn handle, push button. Remington introduced the cane gun with a percussion version patented by John F. Thomas in 1858. Most examples feature a dog head handle, this one does not. Remington’s updated to metallic cartridges in 1866 so this gun was made from 1858-1865. Overall excellent nicely toned finish. Bore is rough. ANTIQUE
